I am planning to use AC21 and start a new job on EAD, although the reason I am telling my present employer is that I am going to home country and may or may notcome back. what happens if the employer revokes the H1B or can he ask uscis to stop all the immigration matters with me. I have finished 180 days hatch period ...:)
Any ideas please !

My I-485 has been pending for more than 6 months now. I have an EAD but I got an RFE on my AP. I don't know what its about as I have not received the RFE yet.
I am thinking of changing my job. In my new job I don't want to use my EAD since my AP status is still hanging. Can I keep working on H1-B visa as I still have 3.5 years left on my H1? If I travel outside the country, can I re-enter with a valid H-1B visa? Can this cause an abandonment of AOS if I enter on H-1B while my AOS is pending? Please let me know. Thank you.

My father in law mistakenly entered the wrong date for his date of arrival in the U.S. (entered data in Indian style) on his citizenship application form. The number of days out of the country was also wrong.
Is there a way to rectify this mistake and inform USCIS about this ? Is there a form, or can we simply write a letter regarding the errors to the USCIS office ?
What would be the best way to address this issue ?

How can I transfer a raw file into a jpg file in Photoshop? It only give me a few options-tiff., phtshp, ect... I want to upload a few pics and can't figure it out.

My law firm has said they will receive FP notices and then they will forward it to me. I got my AP & EAD in mail directly from USCIS.

My labor/I-140 documents show my salary to be 85K, I am yet to receive my I-140 approval from Nebraska Processing Center, filed in June 2006 under EB-2. Would it cause any problems when I file my I-485 ( priority date March 2004 ) next year if the salary for 2006 is less than 85K ? I was unemployed for two months this year unexpectedly. Thank you for your responses.

The big question is that why the so called "IV leadership" is not filling a FOIA request for how many EB3-I cases pending till date. Infact they should ask numbers for all the categories and their priority dates. It should be simple SQL query for USCIS.
This is such a burning issue and so many people are suffering from it. I still don't get it why would IV is not raising this issue... Can some one from leadership group respond please.......

As per AC-21, you can just do H1 b transfer and keep ur already applied I-485 running as you have crossed 6 months.
Lets say, after getting EAD and AP and 6 months after filing for I-485, you want to switch jobs to another company but want to do an H1B transfer to a similar position. Do we still have to start the green card process from scratch to remain on H1B?

I filed paper based AP at Nebraska service center and got AP in 5 weeks. Pretty painless except paying them 300 for 2 pieces of paper is outrageous.

The expiry date of B1/B2 is printed on the visa. Getting F1 does not invalidate B1/B2. Unless the visa issuer put a stamp on the B1/B2 as "Cancelled", it is still valid!

Hi all,
I am in a strange situation-- I have 2 different PDs.
1) PDs on my I-140 is listed: June 30, 2005 (which became current as of 2/11/2011)
2) I recently discovered a different PD listed on the Request for Initial Interview Notice (for my pending I-485). There is a Priority Date box on this notice letter, and date listed is Aug 16, 2007.
Biometrics done Nov2007
Initial Interview done June 2010
FingerPrint done August 2010
Currently on 3rd EAD
Nationality is Taiwan
Current status: AOS pending
I am torn and confused because 2 PDs are 2 years apart. Does any one have the same issue like me? What should I do??? Which PD is the correct one I should go with?? Please help! Thank you so much in advance for your time.

If H4 uses EAD for work with 485 pending, and if the underlying I-140 gets rejected, will this make H4 holder be out of status? what are the options for H4 holder.
If I 140 is rejected then the EAD,AP and I 485 are rejected as well. If you have used EAD then ur H4 is no longer valid ! You will have to go out of the country and get H4 stamped.
So the recommendation is to keep H status alive till you get Greencard
