Hi does anyone know the current processing time for AP at the NSC. The website says 3 months but has anyone got it sooner?
I applied on Jan 9, 2009..when can I expect it by?

Generally you get it within 60 days. You sent only a few days ago, wait until March. If they say 3 months, they mean to say that they approve application within 3 months.

Folks
I have applied for GC in Aug '07. I recently renewed my H1-B (7th year). I noticed that there is a mistake in the A# of my Green card application (Beneficiary #) on the H1-B approval notice.
Has any one else had this happen? Does any one know what can be done regarding this?

This is not really a revelation as visa fraud has been a problem for decades at US consulates around the world. But it reminds us that there are bad actors out there and US consular officials have a tough job in trying to make sure that deserving applicants get visas while they ferret out the fraudsters. The $500 anti-fraud fee that accompanies every H-1B petition is supposed to help provide the funding to properly investigate and root out fraud. It sounds like the system is working.

Hi, I have a query regarding the opt to h1b process ,the answer means a lot to me.
I am getting my h1b filed through a desi consultancy in the coming april in premium category.I am on opt and it has its validity till jan 2009.I will be giving interviews for a couple of finance firms in may/june in which i will most likely get one.now my point is i know i can change my job to this new company in june/july since i am on opt .I will take my h1b papers with me but come october i will get into h1b status.will it be a problem for me to remain in the new company which i shifted to, do i have to get back to my old company till i get atleast two pay stubs on h1b or is there any way to continue working in my new fin company without any trouble.the pay slips which i would have got during the months before i shifted jobs will they be suffiecient to get my h1b transfered to the new company.
Gurus pls throw some light. it is really very important for me.

I know that the EAD card comes directly to the applicant and not to the attorney.
What about RFE on EAD? Does that too come directly to the applicant?
Pls lets know when you get your EAD. It would be interesting to see how long it takes with this avalanche of EAD applications

The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee voted today to scrap the controversial REAL ID law which will require states to begin implementing tough new standardized technology requirements for drivers licenses in just a few months. A number of states have rebelled against the requirements and they risk their licenses not being accepted for federal purposes - including boarding airplanes. You should get to talk to USCIS coz this is wrong for sure......USCIS should issue you a new EAD with no additional cost.........Even if you do not plan to use EAD card get the issue fixed.......

IV Members,
My PERM Labor application was certified on Jan 24th 2011. Attorney received an email that the case has been certified and will send the approval notice shortly.
Its been close to 4 weeks and have not received the hard copy. can someone share their experiences about the time line to receive hard copy.

I had the sample problem. There was an extra letter in the last name. I waited till the labor was approved and then notified USCIS while filing I-140. There was no issue. You do not have to worry about it
