I am not sure if this is good place to ask this.
1. I have moved out of US 5 months ago and I am working for my GC sponsoring employer overseas. What happens to my I-485? Is it considered abandoned?
2. While I was working as H1 I contributed to 401K. I want to know if I can leave that money in the US till retirement age and then start widrawing while living overseas. I expect I will not be a US citizen at that point.
Can anyone point me to a competent accountant who can help with question 2?

GC is for future job, is your PERM was not suspended, you can continue with the same application.
If you're on H1-B - YES - a transfer is required to work for company A becuase you resigned and left and technically company B owns your H1-B.

When exporing new oppty's via AC21 with companies:
is it Ok to share copy of one's 140 or 485 document copies?
approval notice copies should be ok (check with company's HR if in doubt). However supporting financial/planning documents of a company may not be ok (that kind of stuff could be confidential to the company)

My Husband was a F1 international student and his F1 service had stopped by his school, but his Visa( China) was expires on July, 2009. Couple months ago, he and I gets married and he is ready for file the green card. But his grandfather is very sick now and he have to go back immedately; however, he didn't file anything at this time. If he having a emergry that need to go back on June , what he can do now? Ok, Lots of people have been telling good ideas.....Here is one more.
As part of our campaign on these legislations (HR 5882, HR 5921 & HR 6039 ), I wrote to my congressman. Afte sometime I got a reply and I was suprised that he had personally signed it. I know many IV members have contacted their congressman/Senators and they might have got a reply back.
My idea is that we should all mail the responses we got from our law makers to IV core. They can collect these letters, highlight the positive responses the lawmakers have said and send them to the chairman of "Judiciary" committee. This way IV can raise its stature and be know as a organisation for Legal Immigrants who are doing the right thing by contacting the law makers.
Makes sense ?

Just saw this story from a few days ago. Aside from being a hugely irresponsible way to spend a broke state's taxpayer funds, this idea also is probably unconstitutional. Does Arizona plan on having its own border control points? Will the state's wall interfere with Border Patrol activities? The federal government is supposed to control the national borders and not the states. Not that Arizona minds wasting the state's money to continue to losing that point.

Will there be any updates on 485 LUDs when USCIS works on I-140?
I have submitted approved EB3 I140 and 485 on Aug 2nd 2007. I submitted EB2 I140 for approval on Dec 11 2007. There haven't been many LUDs on any of these files except when applied for AP and EAD. Now on Apr 7th 2009 I see new LUDs on EB2 I140 and 485(for both wife and me). There is nothing after that. I am not able to make out anything of it. Any comments, suggestions or opinions are appreciated. Thx

My labor was denied first time through PERM(December 2005) and later after refiling, it got approve through PERM ( Applied on May 2006)
Now Can I use my first labor filing date as the priority date(Decmber 2005) or they will take the new date(May 2006).

Hi,
I applied for my wife's AP online & while entering her SSN there was a typo (wrong digit entered).
What will happnen to the application? will I get RFE? or should I send letter addressing the issue with copy of SSN card along with copy of receipt?
Any help is appriciated.
