how real or possible in getting visitor visa for my brother .

Just came across this map, while booking my hotel.

Its really Cool Map. Just type in Washington Monument or Whitehouse as your destination point and click Go. Now your destination is selected. Now un-check (or check) and then check each hotel listed on left, one by one. You will know how far is your hotel located from Monument or Whitehouse. Is it not cool?

I think we need to expose employers who are taking advantage of us in different ways just because we are stuck with them due to retrogression. This way if we cannot change the legislation right away we can atleast scare the crooks by exposing them so that they cannot trap new people.

Guys,
My company in-house lawyer says that i don't have to file for H1-b right now because I was approved for H1-b before. I only use 3 month of H1-b time and changed the status to F1. Now, the lawyer advise me that we should use all of my OPT time and file for COS for previous H1-B in June starting date of January 2009, when my OPT expires.
My question is
1) Do you think it is a good ideas or just apply April 1st 2008?
2) Does anybody else have/had a similar situation, do you guys mind sharing what you did?
I will really appreciate all you guys.

Does the I-485 filing date matter? i.e. If one person files their application on July 1st and the other files on say July 25th (due to some reasons), will their I-485's get processed in FIFO?

It should not be a problem. Our GC's were approved when we were overseas and we came in using AP's.
Try to bring print outs of approval from USCIS website. If you have that, they will admit you as a PR. I tried explaining but they didn't listen and used the AP. If you have a printout they willl stamp your passport as a PR and let you in.

Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama will become the ranking Republican on the Judiciary Committee under which the Immigration Subcommittee is included. Sessions has been one of the Senate's most vocal opponents of immigration reform. Sessions may only be in for the remainder of this Congress and then he is expected to pursue the ranking position on the Budget Committee. Im in the process of filing a new GC in EB2 category which eventually I will port to my older EB3 application. I wanted to find out if we need to do our Medical exam again during the I-485 stage?
