It is really tricky to come up with a deadline for EB employment. US is set of laws and the law is same for every one it applies. for example:If you not from a retrogressed country you will get your GC even if you start now (before enactment of this bill).
Please know the difference between bill and law. If ever this particular bill becomes law the deadline for any cases filed under previous law will not be rejected, this is as clear as mud, to make the law same for all who applied/pending /approved on the day of enactment!!.:eek:
You can refer to other lawyer's interpretations of the bill and also ask your own lawyer for more information and to better understand the harm this bill does to us.

Received an email from CRIS yesterday. They have issued a FRE on my I-485. I can not think of anything. My immigration history is clean, no status issues, ever. I remember submitting all the docs during July fiasco. I am waiting for the actual RFE letter to arrive.
Only good part is - there is someone "OUT THERE" who looked at my file.

I am just trying to figure out when they may get to my case. My 485 Recipt date was 7/31/09 and then it was transferred to TSC and the transfer notice had a receipt date of 10/1/09. Not sure if they'd consider the Receipt date in the 485 Receipt or the 485 Transfer Notice.

I was wondering about DOL letter which my employer received yesterday..for Recruitment process for 30 days..I wanted to know is it because of the conversion we did to RIR process some days back or is it just that they caught up with my TR application after 5 years..TR-Oct 2001

The amendments were on the senate side and the HR bills are from the house side. Please contact your state chapter lead (walking_dude for MI) for updates and find out what's happening. We have lot of work to do and we really need volunteers. I am unable to post any info. on this public forum which is open to the world.

EB-3 won't need help when everyone else is done because the only people left to allocate visas would be EB-3 only . I guess we are just in for a long long wait.
That situation never occur. EB2 is going to be always filled up. No one is going to apply in EB3 in future and all in EB2, so all will go to EB1,EB2.

Got Labor approval in 2007
Filed I-140 in premium and got the approval in 15 days.
Filed I-485 in July 2007

EB2 India and EB2 China will have same cut off dates. I recall reading the USCIS explanation (in one of those AILA - USCIS conference) regarding distribution of unused EB2 ROW numbers and they mentioned that they have to keep EB2 I-C same till those catagories become current.

You're very observant. :) My husband depends on me to know our case. I'm H4 so all I do is read updates on immigration. I got addicted to IV! :D
I wonder what will happen with our cases. My husband has a PD Oct 2003, EB2 ROW, but thanks to PBEC, it got approved in Jan 2007. Our RD is March 2007, TSC, concurrent. Got AP in April and EAD in May. No LUD on 485 after FP, 04/25/2007.
One more question: How many wives are here? It looks like some guys would rather let this matter to the ladies to handle.:D

I am still on H1 (not utilized EAD), the visa on my passport expired last year. Planning to visit India next week, should I be getting a visa stamped or use AP?
APPRECIATE INPUTS FROM THE EXPERIENCED/SIMILAR SITUATION. Any USCIS link will also help.

Well my friend people here will tell you that once you use AP your h1B is not valid any more thats not true. I confirmed this with 2 Immigration officers and my attorney. AP and h1b have nothing to do with each other. One is an entry permit the other is to work with a specific company. no link so use you AP at re entry when IO ask why did you go to india don't say vacation. thats all.
